Yes it's made in South Africa.
Cheers!

Looks great, but the best barong machete was the 12". Please bring that one back!
It's sharpened right here in our HQ![]()
More of our Machetes are being sharpened in-house at our HQ every year. Others (some of the older models) are provided with a utility edge. It depends on the Machete.
As for next year...well you'll just have to wait and see![]()
In the meantime there's a certain fellow around here that does edgework for ya' on machetes at time of purchase.
And the new Barong handle is WORLDS better than its predecessor. I liked them so much when they came in that I took one for myself to replace the old one I keep in my car.![]()
You know, I just might take you up on that. Do you have the Barong Machete in stock?
Whoops! Only just saw your question. Yes. Yes I do.![]()
Excellent. I do think I have found my new machete source. Will you be getting Cold Steel's other new machetes, too? Perhaps the Gladius, as well?
Baryonyx tends to stick with traditional outdoor knife/machete designs, so I kinda doubt we'll see the gladius, katana, or kopis there(I like them, but the sword machete idea is kinda gimmicky), though I suspect(and hope) he will stock the royal kukri and smatchet when they are released...
