To create the poll choices, I have looked through the unofficial discussion thread and picked out the patterns people had mentioned. I think we have plenty to choose from.

A few points to keep in mind for this poll thread:
  • We respectfully ask that you only vote if you're seriously interested in purchasing a forum knife. Voting doesn't tie you into buying; you may end up not liking it and decide to pass. That's ok; we just want to make sure people don't vote and vanish, skewing the results for everyone else.
  • Also, please don't worry about cover material yet. We'll get to that in due time. Let's just get past the first hurdle of picking a pattern.
  • If there is a clear winner, we should be able to move on to the next step. If there are two or more that are close when the poll ends, we may need a second round to get a good majority of people who are behind the final decision.
A couple more things to keep in mind about the choices:
  • Some of the categories are more broad than others, such as "pen". If one of those wins, we'll hammer out the details.
  • The smaller patterns may not fit the current tang stamp. This isn't meant to discourage you from voting for one, if that's your favorite. It's probably not an insurmountable problem, but is something to be aware of for time and cost, I suppose.
I'll keep this poll open until the evening of Saturday, Feb. 23. That will give people a week to think and vote.

Have fun!

Half Congress or Congress Jack works for me, I looked back across the old threads on the previous forum knives and I've been tryin' to get a Congress of one form or another good some time.

2013, Year of the Congress. :)

I voted whittler, because well, I love me a whittler. But I'm good with almost any of the patterns listed.

Jon

I haven't decided which pattern I want to vote for yet, but I'm subscribing to this thread!

I voted Sodbuster, since we haven't had a single blade knife yet and I don't own one. :D

I'm in for at least one of whichever pattern is chosen, though.

I voted for the Sod Buster but would be good with a Sod Buster Jr. as well, whichever size is good. I will probably get whatever knife gets selected either way.

I voted the Congress, mostly because I want a two blade knife. Three blades would even be better, but I think that is outside our budget target.

2 blade congress, single spring, which, I must insist, is a full knife!:p

Congress Jack

Haven't seen anything in the other thread or this poll from "knowtracks" (Dave) - the other Committee Member. Did he have any input in the poll pattern selections?

I voted Sowbelly because it is a pattern that really surprised me how comfy it is in hand, and pocket...

Peanut please.
I've been meaning to join the cult, but too lazy, busy, tired to take & post pics.

Sodbuster.

I think a really nice one could be done and still keep it inside peoples budgets.

And it would be unique as the first single blade Traditional Forums knife....

Yes, Dave and I went over the list together before I posted it. He should be along sometime here sooner or later...
