2013 East Coast Custom Knife Show • Walk softly and carry a BIG stick....

Couldn't make the show but, once again, am able to enjoy a piece of it through the lens of Coop. Thank you for the thread and missed saying "hi" to you and Susan.

I the backgrounds really stand out to me in this set. That makes it really cool and the colors are right on. Very nice work. I regret not bringing some others to that show.

Hi Jon,

I'm glad you noticed. I went decidedly colorful for these. As I shoot more and more traditional fixed blades and folders, I get lost in a sea of pleasant neutrals. Your JW Smith looks great in that flavor.

However, those that can handle the splash, get it!

Thank you. I've been working on prints and I'm almost done. My printer, however, is now not cooperating. I have work today to figure out the problems.

Best,

Jim

Awesome knives and Photography thank you for this work.I found the Ron Skaggs conceptual drawing really interesting and to find it wadded up in the pouch so cool.
Now I just googled Joe Kious and am blown away. What talent very inspiring, thanks again.

Thanks Coop for posting such an enjoyable review... These types of threads take a lot of time, and for the majority of us that don't travel to shows it's fun to read the recaps.. Especially when your close-up photographs are included... Thank You, Rich

^^ Hi Rick,

Yes, shoot me an email and I'll give you his direct phone number. It's not published in Knives Annual, or I'd give it here. No email.

Glad to.

Always love seeing your photos! I remember somewhere seeing you talk of trying to throw a book together, looking forward to getting a copy when it comes to be :)

^^^ That idea still has merit :) but no traction. :(

I'm desperately trying NOT to work seven days trying to keep up with two jobs and a family. The book idea needs my undivided attention for a week, even to do a rudimentary version.

I've lost two full days fixing printer woes from this show, and now I'm swimming in pending shooting projects.

I should complain? LOL!

Thank you. :D

BTW: That clean little utility by veteran Rick Darby? SOLD. His photo investment paid off.
