OK, I've been working on some knives. I have about 5 options, so I am not written in stone. My plan is to work on a hunter, but if I have any trouble I have a skinner/edc. a fighter, plus two kitchen knives that may end up being the KITH knife.
Original plan, blanks cut out:

I did the distal taper, and rough ground in the bevels tonight, along with pin/lightning holes. This is at 36 grit, so VERY rough. Next step is 60g, with the file guide, then 120g to get all trhe grind marks out. Then its heat treat!!

The steel on the two smaller knives is W2, and the larger is 15n20, and all have gone through a four step normalization and grain refinement cycle. I plan to do a clay based hamon on two, and one will be time temp only, just to make it interesting.
This needs to go into the stickies.
I had to look 5 pages back to find this.
