Still waiting for mine to show. :(

Meanwhile many have already flipped theirs.

Nobody that has "flipped" their knife has asked for an unfair price.

I picked one up and didn't feel cheated at all.
Four have "flipped" on the exchange, ALL at cost.

Regards

Robin
Close enough to cost......lol

I'm happy with what I paid

People "sell/flip" items all the time, no big deal. This specific run was pretty large compared to past runs and I am glad it did well with forum members. When no one buys them or participates during the initial phase that is when people worry. There are plenty of good folks in Traditional, they wouldn't take advantage of a member that might want a knife that may have been late to the party.

It's been less than a week since shipping started. Maybe a little patience is in order? I've had mail take a week to leave the city, nevermind get to its destination.

Have you reached out to Barry to make sure he had your right information, etc., before griping in public?

I once had a knife I shipped out go on spring break in Florida before heading to New York where the buyer was located lol.

Not a gripe but an observation. If I had a gripe I do have the email of the ones I would gripe to, and certainly would not do so in public.

I see the forum has taken a bit of a turn from its normally cordial interactions.

My Apologies, Mink. Typically the Feedback: Good/Bad/Ugly section, is where I see complaints - usually deservedly. So I wasn't really sure how to take your observation. It sounded like you had concerns, but had not reached out to the people who actually might help. Hence my "gripe" commentary. I think I was reacting to the location of your post, and inferring your intent from that.

I am sorry to have mischaracterized.

No harm, no foul. The web is a difficult place to sometimes understand what folks are trying to convey.

I know mine will show up.....perhaps today even.

Appreciate the reply.

Edit: as to the location of the post...I believe that was the doing of Rev as I initially just replied in a thread in Traditionals.

I have been off the forum for a bit, so I can only assume my comment was mis-construed as a gripe by him as well. Not sure if that has become more common-place or not.

Lot depends where you are, when you say "in the woods" it could be that remoteness is the answer? Postal services can get delayed anywhere. Don't get too dispirited, they will turn up!

Spare a thought for those of us waiting in Europe for our Forum Knives, it's a long wait and the customs ordeal/expense too....:barf:;)

Regards, Will

Will,

I do feel for you overseas folks.

On a positive note, mine showed today as I expected it might. In the woods does probably add a day or two.

Having asked Charlie about a few other knives ;), I know that he is swamped and has been swamped for some time. I paid by money order, and I saw that Charlie was requesting members that submitted money orders and checks to contact him with their mailing addresses. I fired mine off and now play the waiting game. Charlie is good people and has taken an enormous burden upon himself.

As far as flipping knives, well, knife nuts have long memories ;)...
