The 2014 BladeForums Knives are on the way!!!!

I haven't seen them but I am looking forward to it! Post your photos when you get yours, but meanwhile, I'll go first, 'cause I got mine already! :D:D:D:D:D:D

Fit and finish are excellent as usual, and the blade has a firm-but-manageable pull of about a 6-7 and it centers in the bladewell when closed. I really like the swedged clip and overall lines of this beauty.

About half the order went out today and the rest are following asap! Check yer mailboxes!!!

Woohoo!!! This is fantastic new, can't wait to see what comes out of that tube! This is going to be an incredibly fun thread to look through and see all the different varieties of stag. That looks like a really nice example there, love the stag on that one.

YAAAYYYYYYYY!!! :D

Let's see, today is Tuesday, and when I've ordered from you in the past, it's taken two days to arrive. Well, looks like I'll be camping out by the mailbox again on Thursday (or maybe Friday)!

Thank you so much to everyone involved for all of the hard work! It payed off HUGELY! These just look amazing!

OOOOHHHHH!! Nice one!:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

You can depend on it, mine will be on view here too, even if it will take a while to get to Europe.

Really good to have a single-blade as an FK for a change, something different and useful.

You must be sick of putting tubes in parcels by now......:barf::D:D:D

Regards to all those about to take delivery, Will

:thumbup:Oh Boy! Great news Barry, Thanks!
You're right Slide13, this will be fun comparing the stag.

LOL! :D

Great pic Barry, and well done for all your hard work. I think Charlie is shipping mine, and I won't be expecting it to arrive for a while, but I look forward to seeing everyone else's, and to contributing to this thread eventually. The knife looks and sounds fantastic. Big hand for everyone who contributed. Thanks a lot folks :)

I think Barry is shipping yours Jack - it's cheaper from his location . . . . .
although . . .there is indeed a package from me on the way!
Here are the only ones I have looked at. They are both seconds. One is obvious, but I don't know what is up with the other. Too bad they picked such nice stag to make an error - that's production for you.
I will keep these as my allotment, and ship the others un-opened, to our Canadian Forum Members.
Tomorrow!
Seconds (can you see any flaws??)

The bottom stag in the first pic is the top stag in the second pic - sorry for the confusion!!

 Thanks Charlie! :)

I hope you remembered to give Barry my shipping instructions ;)

Oh, and of course thanks for everything you've done my friend, you're a star :)

Only thing I see wrong is missing PPP etch on bottom one. Both have very nice stag but that top one is a real standout!

I see what looks like a misstrike over the GEC of the second knife, second pic. Can't see a thing with the other knife.

Thanks for further fueling our anticipation, Charlie! 😉

The second knife has mark on the tang where it was tested for Rc hardness.
They look GREAT! I can't WAIT! :D

They turned real nice, sorry I missed out on this one, oh well can't get them all.

Something with the swedge seemed off to me too. I just don't know enough about swedge grinding to know for sure.

On another note, "Swedge Grinders" would make a great band name.

If mine look anywhere near as good as those horrendous seconds I shall be very happy. If they look better...

One things for sure
"a rolling bladeforum knife production schedule gathers no moss".
cheers.
hmmm The Swedge Grinders - I envisage a couple of incarnations.
full thrash, death, speed, metal heads OR acoustic ,traditional, folk trio.
Perhaps a new age avant gard cutting edge band who uses knife grinding machines to create a whole new cacophony.:(

Charlie, The second pic top knife has a tool mark from the riveter, I think, and the bottom knife has an extra stamp, unless that's lint on your scanner. Two flaws that are insignificant to say the least.

It'll be like when I was a kid and ordered something off the back of a cereal box...my Mom laughs cause I literally checked the mail box the very next day and EVERY day until it arrived:D

Thanks Barry - I will be watching the mailbox!

I remember shipping forum knives - it was a big task but very rewarding as our friend Gus will attest.

Charlie - I think someone already beat me to it, the bottom knife has a double stamp on the tang, and the top knife looks like they skipped off of the rivet when rolling it and burnished the stag slightly.

Both look like lifelong friends though, just a little unique!

best
