2014 Christmas Eve Gift give away --- Winner chosen...

Lookie what was waiting in my mailbox today!

Not sure I'll be able to wait til Christmas eve (But I'll do my best ;-) ). The way this thing feels, I think I'll need to start opening it now in order to get to the prize in time for Christmas Eve! The package feels like a brick!

STAY TUNED!

I have a confession. I’m going out of town this afternoon and won’t be able to do the unveiling justice while crammed in a townhouse with 8 other people for 5 days (holidays are to be spent with family!), so I opened the package early.

So without further adieu (and with apologies to Bob Clark):

There it was, a package from Ed J himself! Honors and benefits, already at the age of 31!

Come on, let’s get on with it! I don’t need all that jazz about USPS and Packing Tape!

Now it’s time! It’s time for the opening of the package. Remember kids, only winners of Ed’s Christmas Eve Giveaway can open his secret package! Ed is depending on you!

Ed’s packing is in great form tonight! I can tell this package is really special.

5 seconds later, I’m in the only room in the house a boy of 31 can open a knife in peace. “I’LL BE RIGHT OUT FOR CRYIN’ OUT LOUD!” [picture of inside of bathroom implied but not taken for all of your sakes ;) ]

There it is! Wait “BESURETODRINKYOUROVALTINE”? It’s all a commercial?

Boy oh boy! Would you look at that! Would you look at that?

Oh, look at that! Will you look at that? Isn't that glorious? It's... it's... it's indescribably beautiful! It reminds me of the Fourth of July!

The two knives I have that I owe to this forum, both keepers no doubt!

It's a Case Desk Knife in Curly Zebrawood!

Thanks ED! This has been a lot of fun. I truly appreciate your kindness and generosity. This knife will live in my bag and be my new apple/food knife while out and about. The size is great and it’s sharp! I’ve been wanting to get a case knife for a little while now, and get a traditional with super steel (CPM-154), so this one ticks two boxes at once! I’m a happy camper!

Well done, Ed and Sean! I was holding my breath the whole time.

That was awesome! I kept saying to myself, "Open it! Open it!" Felt as though I was 30yrs younger. :D

Well done all around! The gesture, thought, pictures, and knife were perfect. Had a lot of fun with this one. Thank you for sharing.

Merry Christmas

Really enjoyed your "opening the package" WIP, Sean!:thumbup:
The narrative was hilarious :D (Gotta find time to watch "A Christmas Story" soon.)
Splendid GAW, Ed!

That was fun to read. Thanks to you both for the entertainment.

Well worth the suspense! A very beautiful Zebra Wood knife that one, Ed is a totally fine gent.

Thanks, Will.

That was great! Just saw Christmas Story a couple of days ago, so this made me laugh out loud.
Great knife! What a cool development - the GAW, the wait, the "Grand Opening"...
Well done to all involved!

Merry Christmas!
