OK, Folks I have been given the go ahead to start polling!
As you know most of the "options" that we have voted on in the past have already been defined.
There are just 4 possible votes,
2 for Canal Street, single blade in 1095 carbon or in 440C stainless will be the choices.
2 for Great Eastern, either single blade or 2 blades, both will be 1095 carbon steel.
The rules are, 1 vote per person, the most votes is the winner!
This is the Canal Street offering, closed length 3 3/8"

The GEC offering, closed length just under 3 3/4"

Thank You all!
Dave

P.S. The poll will end on June 4th so that the stag can be delivered during the blade show. So PLEASE get you vote in!!

Is there any way to edit the thread to include a poll? That would make the final tally much simpler.

For example -

1. Canal Street -- single blade in 1095
2. Canal Street -- single blade in 440C
3. GEC -- single blade in 1095
4. GEC -- double blade in 1095

I don't have a CSC, or a knife in stag, or a traditional in 440c...I think you can guess my vote ;) I look forward to it whatever is decided though. Thanks again to all involved!

Haw! I voted 1095 because I figured it had a better chance of winning (it's really the canal street pattern I like, I'm ambivalent on steel) -- and I'm the first one to pick it! So far, way more people went 440C (which I would have too, but figured it for a dark-horse, given the forum's usual patina proclivities.) Go figure!

Any chance my vote could be counted in on the 440C side as well, if it comes out close? :D (Pity the forum software probably can't do instant run-off voting, which is great for this kind of thing.)

Not that it's any great matter. You can't really lose with these options!

Canal Street with 440C. Nice work to Charlie, and all involved in this years project.

I really hope that which ever doesn't win, will go ahead and make the knife as a regular production knife. I'd really like to see the CSC in some 1095, but it doesn't look to be a favorite.

While I would love to experience a Canal Street knife, and I prefer 440c, that GEC 2-blade version is pretty much knife perfection in my book. So that's my vote.

First time voter. GEC 2 blade is my preference but I'll be happy with any of the options. Thanks to all involved with pulling this together.
