2015 American Lawman

For me, the thin handles and light weight of this sturdy 3.5 inch blade make it an excellent edc.
Add in the high quality steel, and you have a knife comparable to top edc s of other companies.
At a cheaper price.
I m becoming very interested in Cold Steel.

I'm agreeing with your method. Just saying it needs to be done over a period of time.

Getting more finger strength is still the best way to go i guess, that leaving it open method is way overused. I personally haven't tried that before, but people keep asking for opinions, so...

My days of gaining finger strength or any strength are over. Strong back locks are something I'll just have to live with. No problem.

Good thread, recently got my od lawman great knife, (I do agree with the comment above a larger one would be awesome) It literally does everything right yeah the lock is a bit tuff like all triad locks I've had but when you design a lock to be strong a strong lock spring seems like a key feature. I plan to do a few comparison vids and honestly feel this knife will compare favorable to many popular and loved edc's could even beat out the para 2

The knife still has the same issue: It's too damned small. 4" blade Lawman, please.
:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup: Hell yeah!! I love the lawman, its a great all around carry knife. But Cold Steel NEEDS to make a 4" blade model. I would buy several.

Cold Steel's version of the 4" American Lawman will be out soon according to Demko. It will have a satin finish, a flat grind in lieu of a hollow grind, and 20CV steel. It will also have titanium liners.

1 4MAX will be enough for me. But if you want several, I only ask that you save enough for the rest of us ;)

Wow awesome pics before! So would you say the new G10 is very similar to the feel of the PM2 from Spyderco? I want every knife CS sells in this thinner, easier on the pocket G10.

Maybe Mr Demko will license has new lock invention to CS. It's an interesting design, check it out:

If that happens, i sense CS flipper coming...

Broken link there but still found the AD15 online. I hadn't seen this one yet but it looks like an interesting lock. Demko did kind of rip on the "lawks" from CRKT in a not very old video--I guess he didn't really rip on it...to be fair he is pretty honest during his testing methods. Anyways, not to stray too far from the topic at hand, but there's no way this new locking system will be stronger than the Triad lock.

You can just open you knife and bend the spring inward... When i get a cs knife, i normally do this, i round the spine of the lockbar and polish the tang.
I also mod the clip

If you have any constructive suggestion to give, by all mean

This is essentially true. Normally, it takes a week or two, not 100 days. That was hyperbole. But, it is in essence true. This is how to fix a Triad Lock. leave it half open for a week to two, untouched, and it will be nice and smooth afterwards.

Seriously? When is that going to happen? I hope soon.
