2015 Christmas Eve Gift Winner - R8shell post #29

What is in there?

I tried holding it up to the light:

Subjected it to a cat scan, but despite a thorough sniffing and vigorous ear rubbing against all corners of the box, results are inconclusive.

Love the cat scan. I've seen tools in old catalogs designed to open boxes like that. Maybe check at an antique store to see if you can find one. They came with two ends: one side you held onto and the other was magic.

Thanks for the generous giveaway, looks like R8shell's gonna have a good Christmas, congrats.

I laughed an unnecessary amount at this. :D

It's Christmas Eve! Finally ! :D

Time to open up that package.

There is a song we sing at Passover : "Dayenu"
which means: 'it would have been enough'.

We should be grateful for each gift without asking for more, and if all I recieved were a rusty screwdriver, I would have been grateful and content.

But wait! This isn't Passover. It's Christmas Eve! What'd I really get?

Oh Boy! An absolutely beautiful Rusty Red Jig Bone #68 Equal End !!!

I love it! Thank you so very, very much, Ed. I wish you and your family the very merriest of Christmases. And Merry Christmas to everyone on the Porch and at home!

Fantastic Christmas Eve Gift, Ed!!:thumbup: Thanks for your generosity each year at this time!

Congrats, Rachel!! You got a rusty screwdriver AND that sublime White Owl??? :D
That's a wonderful knife (but I'm biased, because me and the knife have the same birthday  http://greateasterncutlery.net/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/682211-rust-red.jpg)

Wow, r8shell, just wow-- a first-run White Owl.

HOOOOOT!

TLARbb, you've done it again.

Thank you, and congratulations, r8shell!

Now, folks - that screwdriver was r8shell's already. But notice that the knife is "rusty" red bone.

I'm glad you folks all enjoy and participate in this tradition. I really enjoy it myself.

Merry Christmas everyone!
