The 2015 Great Smoky Mountain Hammer-In will take place on March 13-15, on the campus of Haywood Community College – 185 Freelander Drive, Clyde, NC.

We have a great lineup of demos for the hammer-in, check out the attached program and registration document.

Wow, that sounds very interesting! And only about 90 miles from me... hmmm.....

James - you want to go. there will be at least one moment that weekend that will be worth the entire cost of tuition.
At the Heartland Bladesmithing symposium in Topeka first weekend of this past October, Butch Sheely did 2 different hawk forging classes -- one by punching the eye through a billet of steel, the other was a wrap and weld demo. Kyle and Caleb Royer were also there teaching classes, among other folks.

The Hammer-In is two weeks away. The deadline for the special class registration will be closing soon. I encourage everyone to pre-register, it will make on site registration quicker.

See ya at the Hammer-In

Vic - is the Topeka event an annual affair? That sounds interesting!

yup - first weekend of October every year -- if you don't want to make the 2 hour drive Saturday morning, you could borrow the spare bedroom here.

This just ain't fair. Seems like all the good events happen back east, south, and the midwest. The Southwest (where I live) is a wasteland for events and shows of this caliber. I'm jealous to say the least!!! Hope all who can attend have a great time though, all the best!!!
