2015, the snarkiest year yet!

Yellow is a good "safety" color that is easy to spot.

Honestly, I think it's a better set than brownish green, brownish brown, brownish light brown, and obnoxious orange.

Not that I'm going to get it. I'm too cheap to buy 4 handles for a single Becker. I only have one full size Becker with grivory left.

EDIT: Maybe it'd just be better with a single set of brownish color at $12 or something than 4 bright colors.

If there was a single color there that id like to use id buy them at 40 bucks... Thats actually a killer deal for 4 sets of scales i think..... But none of those colors id like to use. If the green was darker it would be better.

Oh yes, yellow would be good too.
Good in the marine context (tho not so sure about carbon steel knives...)

I'll split a set with somebody :D

Let's split two sets. That way, you'll have all the colors in left side and all the colors in right side, and you can mix and match.

That sounds a little counter productive to what I wanted :P I'll save my pennies for an RBK instead of fancy coloured scales ;)

KaBar also posted a picture of a Union straight razor that I wouldn't mind getting my hands on. I've been becoming more interested in trying one out recently.

I've seen that too. I've been shaving with a straight razor for a little while now. I use some older razors Todd gave me and Pointy reworked for me. They're pretty sweet.

No actually, He was hesitant to admit who he was ..lol he said " Some people love him, some people ... not so much, so im always a little unsure of if I should admit hes my uncle to new people"

He's a pretty polarizing individual for sure.

Any suggestions for a good one? I've wanted to try it out, and I don't mind dropping a little bit of coin for something quality.

I'm not even sure how old mine are. I've got a few I rotate through, but for some reason I gravitate towards a particular one. It's only identifying marks are "W.H. Townsend, Sheffield" and it says "Hamburg Ring" in the middle of the blade.

Ring" indicates a full hollow ground, or singing, razor.

Hamburg indicates German razor steel.

The identifying marks are the makers, its an oldie that's for sure.

Thank you google :D
