2016 is coming up fast, and I`m wondering what you all might like to see coming from the JK shop. Let`s hear what new designs you want to see come to life in the upcoming year. Also, if there are any old models you want to see come back, lets hear about them too.

More tanto designs!!!! Big tantos, little tantos....

Seriously though, I'd love to see guys getting out more and taking pics of their JK blades in action (myself included) as well as more threads where you "take us along" on the trails or roads via pics and stories of your travels. Seems like there's been more of this in the past and I've always enjoyed it.

I need to get better at this also. Ive tried taking pics of my JK knife travels, but they didn't turn out too well.
Ill try again, but better. :D

If anybody besides you and me liked tantos I would make more of them.

I keep thinking about B Jackson's Squirrel Skinner...
Might have to pick one of them up some time next year

What happened with the kitchen knives you were working on?

I am still not satisfied with them. I keep thinking stainless might be the way to go, but the only stainless I can get thin enough is 440C .

The fact is I am not ready to spend the money on something I don't think will sell at a price that will be profitable. 2015 was my worst year for sales since I started making knives. My problem is I keep trying to sell at a low cost, to get my knives into the hands of people who can't afford some of the other makers knives.

Wow.
Im glad I discovered this place when I did then. Ive only been on BladeForums for a year and have already learned a huge amount.
Different steels, grinds, blade styles, blade lengths, handle materials, handle shapes, sharpening techniques... I could go on... and each aspect all play into eachother for what task is being performed.

Anyway, my point is, its scary to think that if I didnt come around until this time next year I probably wouldnt have got these awesome knives.
I would have been totally ignorant to this place and your all time low in sales when have been that much worse.

5 JK's in one year isnt excessive. Is it? :p

And you still don't have a SQUIRREL KNIFE!

seems low actualy :D

How about shorter knife's? by which I mean not 1" tall...dont' know why, was just tryin' to be different  seriously though they are handy fishin' and cookin' knives.

I've actually done quite a few in 3/4". The Toby, Worker, Ky Fieldmate, Mini Potawatomi, WoodKarver, and a few more I can't remember.

I'm glad you showed up here too, you have contributed a lot to this place, and it's appreciated.

I will throw out a bird and trout style, but I think just as John mentioned the smaller than 1 inch ones, 3/4, especially the Toby fill that need. I am still curious to see how your blades with no handles which allow people to do it themselves will do. Love to see their creativity.

If I thought a longer Rule #9 would sell I would offer that option. I would be a heck of a knife!
