2017 GEC Rendezvous

Hey John! Pam and I made our reservations before we left last year. We're looking forward to seeing all our friends we have made from the last two years. We are excited about meeting all the new friends that will be there this year. Can hardly wait! :D

I would love to be there and am trying to plan on it. Some of the links on the page that results from the link in the OP seem to be broken? They go to a page not found message?

Any ideas about the best way to sign up?

There is also a good sized knife show that weekend right at Titusville, hosted by Queen Cutlery. If you're coming in from out of town, you might as well stop by both events. The more knives, the better!

Is anyone local to GEC? Does anyone know of or is there a community/local airport or private-airstrip by GEC? If private, does anyone know the owner?

I live about 15 miles from Titusville. There is a local airstrip in Meadville, PA, for only small planes/jets. It is used for emergencies, and for local business jets. It would be roughly 25 minute drive from there to Titusville. The closest international airport is Erie, PA, which would be about 1 hour drive to Titusville. Or for a big well known airport, Pittsburgh would be a 2 hour drive to Titusville.

I'm planning to make the drive from Maryland. Do most folks stay at the CrossCreek? I would prefer to stay where a lot of knife people stay. Often those porch sits after dinner are the best times!

The G.E.C. Rendezvous is a nice relaxing weekend event to meet people, tour the G.E.C.
factory and talk about knives. My wife and I have been to the last two picnics and hopefully
we will be there this year.

Yes!! GEC has a block of rooms set aside at Cross Creek Golf Resort!!
We had a good time there, the last few years!!

Well, Paul and I have paid for our inter-USA flights from Fargo to where- ever we land

I also paid today for my Plane tickets to the big Ol USA today! so it's all go from new Zealand, just nearly 24 hours of flying and waiting of airports once I leave home and then land at Fargo:eek:, so all in all its a massive trip for me- but I just have to do it or I will never be able to experience the GEC Rendezvous - and I just cannot wait to see Paul and Nanc again and all his family and friends that Sue and I met last time, and of course to see Charlie & Joanne again and meet our other friends and all at GEC!
Wow...it's actually happening - this might not be much for the more local people - but to me this is one of my trips of a lifetime!
