2017 GEC Rendezvous

Well, Paul and I have paid for our inter-USA flights from Fargo to where- ever we land

I also paid today for my Plane tickets to the big Ol USA today! so it's all go from new Zealand, just nearly 24 hours of flying and waiting of airports once I leave home and then land at Fargo, so all in all its a massive trip for me- but I just have to do it or I will never be able to experience the GEC Rendezvous - and I just cannot wait to see Paul and Nanc again and all his family and friends that Sue and I met last time, and of course to see Charlie & Joanne again and meet our other friends and all at GEC!
Wow...it's actually happening - this might not be much for the more local people - but to me this is one of my trips of a lifetime!

I'm going to make it to one of these eventually. Sounds like this year will be a good one, too, but we're heading over to England around that same time, so it's not happening this time around.

I am starting to get excited now!!! just over a month away- and many thousands of Miles for me to get to Pauls place- pretty much across the world, then we fly down after a few days- ( if County Jail let us out in time ) to the Rendezvous!!!
Oh man!! BUT........... I have just finished paying for Hearing aids- Oh the Knives I could have bought for those baby's, and now getting over my youngest one's 21st - my Beautiful Tayla.... so now I am very ill prepared money wise for a lifetimes trip to Knife mecca , in saying this I am so looking forward to this trip.

I am thinking of making the ride down from Canada for the weekend. About a 7 hour drive. Hope to stop at the Case Factory for a Friday afternoon tour.
My route will have me passing through Syracuse NY to get to PA. Does anyone know of any big knife shops along the way I could stop at to enhance my journey? I don't mind a short detour.

If you can stand an anolgy with baseball Case just be the "straw that stirs the drink." It worked for Reggie Jackson a pretty good Hall of Famer. That's what a forum is for, a good exchange of ideas. It would get old fast if we all agreed, patting each other on the back. We do have one thing in common, knives.
