2018 BCCI 347-Sweet!

I'm guessing that, that both personalizes them, and also keeps them from being purchased and sold to non BCCI members. I don't know if this still happens, but when I joined with lifetime membership, it included a knife. I got a 531 with someone else's number on it.

Fritz, if you return that knife to Joe H and explain the situation, he will polish out the incorrect number and enter your correct member number and you will never know it was ever done.

Thanks Jb, its the black lazer etch that I'm wondering about.

Here you go Fritz,

Here is a photo image I borrowed from a live auction off of the auction site by the bay. Here is a 970 blade with a Laser etch of "Buck". To me it looks like a 6 year old did it....not a fan! These used to be stamped and not etched???

Thanks JB. Not a fan of that one either. If the Buck is the same as the bcci picture, I'm ok with it. If its like this one, wont be too thrilled.

I'm planning on getting one. Even if I'm not a huge fan of ever club offering I figure I'm helping out our club when I purchase one and sometimes that's as good a reason as any.

I would imagine with enough people not wanting laser etching on the club knife and mentioned it on the bcci website there might be a chance It doesn't have to be mandatory.

Yes, I would have purchased one of those 110's if it did not have the scrimshaw on the handle and a better steel. DM

I liked the screwed together frame, the sheath and blade. But replace the white micarta with red or blue and I'll pull my wallet out. DM

I think the iron wood model was to be a dress, carry, user knife. I would have liked it more with better blade steel and micarta
handles. But these knives were to be more like a special model. DM

I would have picked up the ironwood 110s if it was offered with better steel, I like the screw construction and ironwood is one of my favorites. I did go ahead and order one of the 347s, I went back and forth but ultimately could not resist!
