I love alpine areas and I have a silnylon tent as well as a tarp and I love those too. They have been worth it to lighten my pack weight.

Are you the one who makes the really good camp knives?

I like the pyramid design that uses trekking poles for the center pole - really cuts down on weight over traditional tents.

Yea - I've made a few camp knives.
