2019 BF

Great looking knife. Unfortunately I did not get in on this.

Is this an annual thing? How would one know about the next BF knife?
I would say don’t be surprised if you see something not too far away about 2020 knife!

I like your brown covers! Mine are both black with grey streaks, which is nice too but the streaky brown you have there is top notch:thumbsup:

If I didn't know all of these knives had African Blackwood covers, I'd think many of them were covered with Cocobolo. Further, it's enlightening how members paint the color of the covers with a broad brush - some like pitch black, some like brownish streaks, some like mostly brown, others like what appear to be grey streaks, and on and on. However we all think of this years Blade Forum knife covers, they are all beautiful and almost perfect to a fault.

Mine arrived yesterday after dark. These came out great and I'm very happy with the result. A little brown in mine, no problem. Great W&T, F&F right up there too. Everything is smooth, tight and snappy with a 5-6 pull that's pinchable.
We built a nice knife folks!
Thanks to all, especially Mike, for the great effort!

What a well done and beautiful knife! Nearly flawless. I have one odd spot on my tang where someone got a little over zealous with a grinder or polisher. But man, what a beauty!

Like others have mentioned, flush at all stops. Really pleased. :)

That is from the punching operation when the blades are stamped.... The metal rolls just before it shears in the die..... Metal hardness, die clearances all have an influence on how much it deforms.... My knife is exactly like yours.... Normal for stamped parts...

Ah ok - thx. I haven’t noticed that before, but now that I looked it is there on other models I have to some degree. Guess it stood out on this one because 1) this one is just so dang perfect, and 2) there’s just more of it! ;)
