2019 GEC 93 Ram's Foot and Waynorth Cutlery Real Lambfoot Thread

 You dirty dog showing off that beautiful alabaster knife!
I’m sorry! ;) Sorta, maybe, ... Nah! :D

Half/Stop Half/Stop YES YES YES!! That Ivory Bone suits the pattern down to the ground:cool: You're a grandmaster at obtaining special specials:cool: Great work my friend:thumbsup: Fine work from GEC and Mr C too:D
Thank you so much for the kind words Will! :) I’m just at the right place at the right time! We do owe our friends like Charlie and the fine folks at GEC a big thank you! :D

So today the unthinkable happened ... I dropped my RAM :(.
I had just gotten my new ebony lambsfoot in the mail and I was in my shop getting ready to work on/clean and oil my new knife.
As I pulled both leather pouches from my pocket, the RAM's pouch was upside down and the knife slid out of the pouch and hit the concrete floor. OUCH !!!
Fortunately I had plenty of sandpaper of all grades in the shop and after some work sanding wood/liners/springs etc, you can only tell if looking super close or under magnification.
I probably could have totally removed the tiny scar remaining but I left it for character :)

I love that you’re using it! You’ll be the only one to notice...many more scars to come. ;)

Somehow I always seem to drop mine eventually. The first time is always devastating, but it pretty quickly fades and just becomes part of its character. Your repair work looks great!

On a side note, that is exactly the fear I had with keeping my lamb in the slip, because I knew at some point it would come out upside down and take a tumble. It rides loose with my keys now, like all of mine normally do. That way it hopefully gets just the gradual character marks without the big kickstarter. Sadly I've learned that the hard way before!

I did that with my 92 talon spear. Hit the asphalt in the same place as yours did. I took it in and rubbed it on my corian kitchen island, ahhh, don't tell the wife. It knocked the indents and brass high spots down and it's still working good for me.

I would of left it alone. The more you use them , the better they look.

This is what happens to users.:( But adds to the story, every knife has one. When i was a kid, got my first brand new bike, a dragster, from santa. Pranged it the first time i rode it, being a lair. Scratched the frame and thought it was the end of the world, later on in it's life was pulling it apart, modifying it and it was scratched to the :poop:house. But i loved it and had a heap of fun on it, and all my mates admired it . Your knife will be the same. Will develop it's own character and you will treasure it.:)

I respectfully request everyone refrain from posting pictures of your Waynorth Cutlery lambsfoot knives. The jealousy is consuming me. One day, maybe.... ;)
They are some gorgeous knives.

Well - you could hang out in the Spyderco sub-forum to avoid temptation :D

You are absolutely right though - truly gorgeous knives - well made IS the grand topper!

You really should get one  :)
