Well it looks like the GEC Vipers are next . Same Choices as the #74 Mustang run . 275 pieces of each choice ! Sambar Stag - Black Plum jigged bone - Brown Burlap micarta - Arizona Ironwood

Well, well. I hope to get my first GEC Viper. I'm surprised they didn't do the snakeskin acrylic with these.

The Black Plum jigged bone will have a "crest" shield. Brown Burlap micarta #74 will have the "badge" shield. The Arizona Ironwood will have the "bomb" shield. Sambar Stags won't have any.

I was hoping this would become a reality. I've been wanting a GEC #47 for years - hoping to at least get one in Stag, maybe the Black Plum too. No Ironwood for me - I'll leave that to the folks who like the satin finishes.

I just caught this. I wonder why GEC is switching the shield up on this one when they are keeping everything else the same as the #74 run. The Black Plum #74 had a Federal shield where the Black Plum #47 will have the Crest - I don't find that objectionable, only curious.

Here is GEC's shield chart - note the difference between Crest and Federal. They are similar, being that they are a classic "shield" shape but they do differ.

I'm on the fence with this run. I was lucky enough to grab a 74 in arizona ironwood, which I'm very happy with, and I just got my BF knife in the mail. Can anyone out there do a side by side photo of the BF knife from viper and a 47 from a past run? I'd be curious to see them compared because I am feeling like getting the 47 might be a little redundant for me.

As much as I'd like one, I'm guessing it'll be another short run, and I'm predicting crazy high prices.
After the recent 74 and 19 pricing fiascos, I'm boycotting a lot of the distributors.
If I can get one through Mike I will- he's an honest guy- otherwise I'll sleep okay at night while the fur flies.
