Interesting to note: On the Production Schedule, they had the Black Plum listed with a Crest Shield - these are routed for a Federal Shield. The variance from the #74 run was interesting but looks like it was just a typo. Makes more sense since the other shield options remained consistent with the #74 run.

I posted this comparison in the BladeForums Traditional knife thread, but it goes well here, too. Edge length with the new forum knife is identical, but you get about 1/5" more handle with the GEC Viper.

Yes, 0.20" longer from butt to bolster end on the GEC. 3.86" to 3.66 inches for the Italian Viper.

Out of curiousity... what do you do for a living?
I'd just have called it .25" and figured most people can't visualize 0.05"
