2022 catalog sent out

Holy smokes, there are some goodies in there! :D

I'll definitely be picking up the Ranger Sport!!! I wish it had brass bolsters, but that's ok. I have several beautiful burl blocks and scraps, so I plan on making a bunch of scales for the 112. I've been waiting a long time for a take-a-part 112. I'm stoked!

Same with the 212 Ironwood Ranger. I don't even care what the price ends up being. That thing WILL be mine.

The 501 Squire, 50th anniversary 112, Vintage Tribute 112, and 250 Saunter are all intriguing to me. Overall great catalog imo!

fellas if you are a bcci member...you can get Larry's email from the member list on the website and you can ask to be added to the 2022 buying program......

buying from Larry also gets you on his email list for consignment sales....so its worth the few minutes to reach out to him. hes a heck of nice fella too......

Hmm... I was not aware of this at all. I thought the discount on the Buck website was the bonus that members received. Interesting. I'm kicking myself for not setting this up so I could purchase the Legacy 55. $150 was just a bit too steep for me. Maybe there's still time. :)

If I read the catelog prices right,,,,,,,the MSRP of the Legacy Tribute 112 is like over $425???.

Wow..
if you buy from Larry using his price guidelines
its going to be like $xxx plus shipping…

you can buy a nice Yellowhorse custom or an amazing Custom shop stag or buffalo horn 112 sv 30 for that
Its not a wow looking knife

you can probanly find an original for a lot cheaper…

Where's the Vanguard Pro?
Pretty sure it is on the discontinued list. Guess it may come back someday, some have, some haven't (yet).

Any idea of price on the Saunter? That one interests me along with a 110 Slim with pocket clip. Several others but those are higher on my list.

I'm sad about the Vantage Pro as well. The two size options for the Vantage are perfect for EDC, outdoors, and work. I was hoping that it would one day make it into the Custom department with various scale and steel options. The Vantage was Chuck Buck's favorite knife to give away as a gift.

they never made a vanguard pro....edited had wrong name in there...getting old.......

pro as in micarta and s35vn like the other pro lines of classic fixed blades. Gpyro wants a pro version. I do too but in the 5" blade version.

the saunter is $159.99 map priced for 2022

Vanguard.
Vanguard,

I know the upgraded versions didn't sell that fast, but Cabelas still has the Alaskan Guide version. So there must be a demand.

sorry typoed the names in my head.....

yeah vanguard pro....

Will have to see/handle the Saunter before I put $150 down for one. Yes, I know street will be a bit less but still want to see it first.

I don't think any of the Take Apart 110's or 112's are taking a dive in value..I have not seen any signs. Frankly there's not many out there period. Few are sold on Ebay that I have noticed. I really think it is a great subset to collect OR use. But I wish Buck would have given us the tool to take it apart with the $250.00 112 BOTM..

I was not all that impressed with the 2022 offerings. I was expecting more for the 112. I will probably (painfully) buy the retro 112 but my mind wanders to the notion that I could probably find an original for less. It is disappointing that not all variations of the 112 have the special tang mark, That would have made them more collectable. Without it they are just meh. The exciting and unique Legacy offerings are no longer a thing. Remember the days of a separate Legacy catalog back in 2011-12? As a Vanguard collector I miss the years gone past of a special Legacy Vanguard every year. The 212 speaks to me a bit. I'm hoping some more exciting 112 variations appear during the year.

I was kinda disappointed there weren’t many new s35vn offerings for 2022. At least there’s some s45vn knives. Last spring I read somewhere that Buck was planning to do more s35vn blades .
I don’t know maybe they are leaping over s35vn and going on to s45vn.

Don’t get me wrong, I like s30v and it stays sharp for a long time but it doesn’t seem to take as nice of an edge as s35vn or s45vn and they’re supposed to be just a bit tougher than s30v.

Any ideas why the GCK series went out? Seemed pretty popular. The boot knife too!
no idear. it seems odd. always sold out everywhere quickly. not really bad reviews. I dont get it.....maybe well see them return in limited production one day.

the boot knife was so small and kinda silly im surprised it hung on as long as it did.

I'll be watching for more of the upgrade steels when it comes to the Limited Editions and BOTMs. 😉

I almost ordered one until I saw the size. Had it been larger I would have bought one right away.

Anyone been following Buck drops long enough to have a guess when new 2022 models will become available on the market?

Dying to get my hands on the 110 Sport.
