2024 Forum Knife Photo Thread

I was worried about it being a little toooo big. But, it honestly (imo) doesn't carry much different than my Old Timer 8OTs; a classic in its own right. I've been really enjoying this carry

Happy Saturday, everyone. I’ve been away from the Forums for about a year, so, unfortunately, missed the excitement of the 2024 Knife threads!

I was excited, though, to have seen that they were still available, and a stockman to boot!

I’m about halfway through the original thread, and still am not sure how much input members had into the process. If someone could catch me up, I’d appreciate it! Regardless, y’all did good!

#352 checking in. Coloring reminds me of a large version of the first knife I ever bought with my own money - a Case Amber Bone 6318.


Makes the 81 I’ve gotten used to carrying feel diminutive…

Cliff notes version: Spark worked it out with GEC, we had our choice of buying it or not. I've been wanting a large stockman forum knife since 2008, so I'm happy.

This is the first one that I have seen dyed brown. It looks like how the factory should have done this run. May I ask what type of dye was used?

I'm sorry buddy. I just seen your comment/question. First of all, thank you. As for the dye, I just used Fiebings leather dye (mahogany colored) because that's what I already had on hand.

Mine still hasn't left the pocket Love stockman's and this one is no exception. Just got done with an apple over lunch.

with the size of this i thought about a belt sheath for it, but ended up just carrying it around in a bucket
Joking aside, todays the first day ive carried it and i like it alot.

Much better. The scales on mine were too uniform for me to enjoy, I’m very pleased with the result. I used the dremel bit pictured and colored the bone with a potassium permanganate bath.
