I was there this afternoon. This was my first time, the weather in this part of the country at the end of March could be just about anything you can imagine, but it all worked out this time.

Lots of customs, from pretty amateurish to magnificent. Lots of Randalls, lots of Case, lots of various Traditionals. A lot of unrealistic pricing... You have to work pretty hard to make a deal, though I did find a couple of nice Queens at what I thought to be fair price.

If you're within driving distance of southern Wisconsin, you should consider making the trip.

Apologies for posting the above in an old thread...

I think you are correct Charlie . He is part of our small group that meets for breakfast before the show . At that point he was about as far away from where I found that Saynor as he could get .

Oh man, I’m sorry we missed you dsutton24 dsutton24 ! I’ve been going to the show with H herder for a few years now, and one of my favorite parts is meeting up with other Porch members. If you’re there again next year, we’ll have to meet up!

Ironically, I can see at least six BF members in your photo, including myself. 😲🤣

Shhh!! 🤫 You’ll blow his cover! 😁

Harry

That must be why you got it instead of him, Harry. 😉😁

I had a great time at the show. As Harry mentioned, a few of us met up for breakfast before the show, which is always nice. I found a couple good knives, including this GEC-made Badger club knife from 2012.

I’ll have to take better pics of the rest of the stuff I picked up another day, but here’s an indoor pic of everything. The Bulldog Brand Tobacco Barlow was a gift from Harry Old Engineer Old Engineer and the Camillus TL-29 was a gift from Jeff Amir Fleschwund Amir Fleschwund — thanks guys! The other two GEC were the result of trades with bigfish64 bigfish64 and Jakeywax31 Jakeywax31 (thanks!), and I couldn’t pass up the Hibbert, Spencer, Bartlett & Co. Daddy Barlow to go with the big Keen Kutter I got at the Badger show a couple years ago.

I never really looked for others in the photo until you mentioned it . I think I found everyone but me and I looked at every old man there .
That Badger Blade Show knife from 2012 looks as good in the photo as it did in your hand my friend .
Edited : I looked again and I think I see me way on the other end of row 3 .

Had an awesome time at the show this year. Big shout out to all the porch members who were insanely welcoming and naturally, ridiculously generous.

My traditional haul included two beautiful bar lows from Harry and a TL29 from Jeff (thank you both, very much) and I picked up a Schrade City Museum of New York knife. I’m always after pinchable single blades and the idea that the museum of NYC was once selling pocket knives (and good ones!) was too fun to pass up.

I also had to get home and hunt down an old rope knife online after playing with Jeff’s find of the show.

Lastly, one of the coolest parts of was getting to dig through some porch member collections (Paul and Barrett) and see some grail knives I’ve never had my hands on before.

Thanks again everyone, looking forward to next year.

I was on my way to the breakfast meet up and knife show Friday and had truck issues 10 miles into a 90 mile drive. :( Well that ended up sidelining me for the rest of the day sadly. Was really looking forward to catching up with everyone again and disappointed that it'll be another year since I see you all again.
Good to see that you fellas enjoyed the show and made some great purchases and trades.

Here's a view from the opposite corner:

I don't remember seeing much chatter about this show on the Forum, so it never occurred to me that other Porchkateers might be there.

Here are the knives I picked up, a really nice Schatt & Morgan Whittler, and a Queen City Jumbo Trapper. They came from a nice fellow back in the corner, I wash now I had asked his name:

btb01 btb01 That White Owl Spear was trade of the year  Particularly like the long Spear on the OVB too:thumbsup: A great meet up with cognoscenti :)

Congrats on your trio of Badger Knife Show acquisitions, Harry!:cool::thumbsup:
I especially like your stag canoe. Are both blades on the same end, or does it have 3 blades?

It was great to meet you! You got some good stuff, that Schrade is really unique.

That was a bummer when Jeff told us about the issue with your truck, Greg. 🙁 Sorry you couldn’t make it this year, but hopefully we’ll see you next year!

Paul Jakeywax31 Jakeywax31 started a thread a few weeks back, but for some reason it got moved from Traditionals to the Community subforum, so I think a lot of people missed it.

Looks like you picked up a couple good knives. There was a nice little Queen/S&M Badger club knife from 2002 for a very fair price at a table along the back wall that I almost grabbed.

Thanks, Will. I was definitely happy to get that 68! A couple years back I picked up a Keen Kutter Daddy Barlow (clip point, saw cut, EO) at the show, and I thought that spear point OVB would go nicely with it. 😁
