As a registered user, you can post pictures using a picture hosting site. There are several free ones.
If you use imgur,
create a free account
Click <NEW POST>
Follow the directions to upload.
Once a picture has been uploated, go to the top right and mouse over the bubble with the first letter of your user name. That gives you a drop down.
Select "Posts"
That will show all your images. Click the image you want to post, then to the right at the top, copy "GRAB A LINK" address.
Then go to your post and click the "insert Image" tool on the tool bar. (It is located between the LINK tool and the SMILEY tool.)
Paste the picture address into the resulting popup, then click "Insert".

If you use another hosting site:
Once you have uploaded a picture to the hosting site, copy the web address of the picture. Note: picture web addresses must end in .jpg or .gif

Then go to your post and click the image tool on the toolbar next to the smiley tool. Click the link icon in the popup. (Looks like a chain.) Paste the picture address into the window. Then click the INSERT button.

Is there any up and down movement in the lock mechanism on the 42?

D doulos there is almost always some
movement in a GEC locking knife, old or recent. I only wrote “almost always” because there could possibly be one out there that locks up tight, but every one I have held in my hands had play.

Yes, and on every GEC Lockback I've had.

I know we aren't supposed to talk about it, but the last year or two with where the market is, this isn't true. Barring personal circumstances, if you want a current release, you can get one. Maybe this model will be different

There definitely has been a lessening of interest in GEC. They still sell out very quickly. but the aftermarket prices are way down except for the very special knives. Anyone who wants a great GEC knife can buy them quite easily on our Exchange for very reasonable prices. And you even have time to think about it and ask questions of the seller. You might have to be patient if you are looking for something specific, but I have been surprised to see the variety of very nice knives available.

I like the jigged bone and bomb shield -beautiful! I don’t love jigged bone for a work knife though, and I feel like this larger size is perfect for a hard day outdoors. Glad they offered a micarta option on this run.

They are dropping I just paid my invoice for a burlap. Not my favorite pattern so it might be a catch and release

Just snagged a Micarta as well. I was really leaning bone but for the price I figured it would match my 72 well.
