2025 GEC 42 Lockbacks

Are these 42s comparable in size to a 72/74?

L - R 83, 72, 42. Of a dozen or so GEC lockbacks my 42 has the best lock. Only have one 42 so might have just got lucky.

I really like the bone and the double bomb. I’ve stayed away from the last few drops but I guess they hooked me back in.

A bit too big but that jigged bone is tempting. If these have a good lockup might need to grab one

Mine came today and it is beauty. Fit and finish is typical GEC quality and it locks up tight as a drum. Opens with a solid thunk and is nice and snappy closing. It is a big knife and I prefer ones a bit smaller. I’m probably going to let this one go so anyone looking for one at my cost shoot me a PM.IMG_2449.jpegIMG_2450.jpeg

I am very excited for these. Glad to hear lock up is solid. I would guess the larger knife is easier to make lock up tight.

If someone can post one of these open and closed next to a Buck 110 the same way it would be appreciated.

I wish there was a Northfield version, but it looks like a very short run.

I meant to take that comparison pic for you. I really did but I forgot. I will say, though, that the handle is the same size as a 112 with the 42 having a slightly longer blade. I compared them when I first received this since I had a 112 on me at the time.

Here's today's pic. I really like this knife!
