This one showed up in the mail yesterday, my first knife with mammoth covers! The pulls on these are no joke, especially compared to some of the lighter pulls from GEC in the last couple of years

That 98 in mammoth is gorgeous! You are 1000% dead on about the pull! These new 98's have a damn nail splitting pull!

A long pull on the pen like the recent northfield 54s would have made that blade more practical to deploy, I feel like I’m setting a mouse trap every time I open it!

I'm just sitting around looking at all the new 98's available. Prices are all over the place!
One thing it brings to mind is how back when the first 98's were produced, this same scenario existed.... various prices, slow moving as if very few were interested in the design and here we are 10 years later and you can barely touch a 2016 model for under $500.
I wonder if this will be the case in another 10 years for the current 98's? Just a thought...

Knives ship free had a few, I assume they used up excess mammoth covers from their Northwoods run?

Ya the ck 98 are a looker,your mammoth though is a touch nicer lol,I bought mine to give to a hunting buddy who let's me use his trapping shack to get away.
