22 days to go

George, I will be there as well as my good friend, Troy Brown. He will be headed that way on Wed. and I have to go to Cleveland, Ohio first for a welding seminar at Lincoln Electric Co. My plane will land in Austin Thursday night about 10:20 PM. Troy will take my knives for me and I will drive back with him Sun. night. I am looking forward to this show since I haven't been to Austin before.
Hope to see all there and hope you stop by a visit a while.

George,
This is Marti. I'm having to reply because I won't let Chris come in from his shop until he gets some more knives ready for the show. We're gonna be there and we are really looking forward to meeting you and Carol in person. It looks like its going to be a great show.

Whew! Tell when that woman tells you to go to work, she means it. I'll be glad when the show gets here so I can rest a little. Actually, George, I have a lot of knives for the show. They arrived by mail. (hehehe)You know its a real bummer when you have these boxes of George Tichbourne Knives just screaming at you "Come take a look at me", "Come hold me" and I'm not allowed to open them because my slave driver (Marti) would kill me let alone what Carol (George's slave driver) would do to me. Can't wait until the show so I can help George open these boxes up. Let these poor suffocating knives have their freedom.

20 Days and counting.
Chris

I look forward to seeing you all at the show. I am hoping for a really great show for everyone. The reasons I want everyone to have a great show and a great time is #1 my name is on it and #2 I want all of my new freinds and old freinds to want to return next year, not to mention all the great knives that I get to look at and buy for my self.

I understand you when you say your name is on the show you wnat it to be the best. As an exhibitior I take pride in any show that I am a part of that is well organized and run professionally. The important part is conveying that pride to the general public so they understand how important it is to us to put on a great show instead of just showing up.

Carol and I are looking forward to the show and meeting you Chris.

Awards are nice but for one I can't get excited about them.

The best way to give out awards is to get someone else to "sponsor" them, ie Knives Illustrated and then turn the organization and judging over to them. I am sure that Bruce would have the time to do this in his new capacity as editor.
