Pro-Tech TR-4.70, SKULL Limited Edition
Please Look at All Additional Pics Before Making a Comittment:
Long ago sold out, limited edition Pro-Tech TR-4.70 SKULL Ltd Edition, circa 2016. Designed by Bruce Shaw. This is #228 of only 300 ever made. A sterling silver skull is set into the middle of the presentation scale. Actuator button is made of black mother of pearl. Comes with an original custom black skull lanyard that matches the skull on the handles. This knife has changed ownership three times between myself and another prolific collector of American made automatics. The original owner sold it to me in 2016, I sold it back to him in 2019, and I got it back again earlier this year. It has never been used, carried or sharpened, but it has been handled, sheathed and unsheathed and does have some handling wear. The 154-CM DLC blade is perfectly centered. The logo side of the blade is nearly indistinguishable from new. There is the ever so slight bit of wear where the flat, swedge and grind portion of the blade converge (it's a high point on the blade). The lock side of the blade has a couple of handling scratches right above the choil as can be seen in pics as well as slightest bit of wear in the same high spot just like the presentation side. The edge looks completely virgin. Original factory grind lines are completely intact. No nicks, chips or rolls on unsharpened, original Pro-Tech edge. The handles have some "snail trails" throughout. They are very superficial and nothing that you can feel if you run your finger over them. You can see everything BLOWN UP in my macro pics. Because of the blasted (almost porous feeling) finish on the aluminum scales, it's impossible to take "clean" pics of the knife. Between the dust and snail trails, the close ups are not the most flattering depiction of the knife's actual condition. However, all the imperfections are not nearly as noticeable with the knife in hand (see pics). Pivot screw and all other hardware are all in excellent shape, nothing stripped or mangled. Blade fires out extremely hard and fast, typical Pro-Tech action. Very smooth to close. Zero functional issues. Comes with original box, Pro-Tech literature, aforementioned lanyard and sheath.
Overall Length: 9.25"
Blade Length: 4"
Weight: 5.5 oz.
