It was a mk1 USN Ka-Bar. Yes it's has, to me anyways, a much nicer look and feel now with the modified handle.

Lee, the age is only approx, maybe 40's/50's? I have some dated in the early 1900's though. I pick up some from time to time as they have always interested me as well

Useful (I’ll admit this COVID crap has ruined a lotta outings I had planned, so it’s been confined to the yard), and takes up very little space.Really do like the classic lines of that civivi model.
