As a strong, cold, northerly, winter wind howls here today, I'll be carrying a highly regarded Sambar Stag Mustang with my current number one choice in EDC, the venerable Victorinox Ambassador. Since our fireplace is gas I don't have to struggle with the cold outside to place another log on the fire, simply bump the thermostat up and enjoy. Neither the weather nor the fireplace have anything to do with my choosing this excellent combo for the day, but the gloves do.

Stay warm cobber. I love splitting wood but gas is definitely the way to go . It's 95°f here in outback Australia today, just nice.

Thanks Dan. Good insulation and an effective furnace is keeping us comfortable. I love winters here it's the occasional, excessive wind that I can do without. My neighbor was replenishing his wood supply today but at 95 degrees F it sounds like you won't need wood for awhile. Have a blessed week, my friend. -James

My carry today! The American Flag Super Tinker is the most special thing to me here, as it was a gift from a good friend of mine. I'd already given Murphjd25 a shoutout in GKD, but he deserves one here as well. I'd forgotten how much I enjoy the Super Tinker. Already today, the scissors trimmed a stray beard hair that was poking me, the knife cut open a bag of chips at lunch, and I tightened up a loose drawer handle at work already with the Phillips head. Superior tool!

There have been so many killer pics in this thread, but I really love this one. The perfect natural lighting, and the raindrops on those Sapphire scales (which are my personal favorite that Vic has done), simply fantastic. And the sharkteethed Spyders aren't bad either!! Thanks for sharing.

You along with a couple other members consistently share pics that if framed, would look excellent hung in a knife guy’s man cave.
