Looks like we had the same idea of posting choppers at same time Darin,Nice one!

Yep, just 7 minutes apart. Thanks for the compliment and yours is nice too. I also wanna say that you inspired me to make a few small blades with jigged bone. I'll be posting them soon.

GOOD GOSH! WHAT A CHOPPER!!!!!! YOU COULD ALSO CALL IT A LOPPER. Very nice Darrin and great choice of materials. Some one should snap that up quickly.

Looks like a Jungle machete from Rambo 6! Are the handles 1/8" or 5/8" from your first post? Just curious because the handle spine appears thicker than the scales.

The handle is just a tad thicker than 5/8" total. I think the scale material is about .200" thick, give or take a few thousandths. I wear a Med.-Lg. size glove and it fills my hand perfectly.

Nice Job Darrin , can you talk a little more about the heat treatment and what one can expect from your unconventional approach. I know you spend a lot of time experimenting for peek performance so what can we expected from this blade. Thanks for the feedback.
