I bought the Utilitac, but it will be a while before he gets it due to COVID-19. Will update with his impressions at a later date.

I like some of the ideas already, Buck, Kershaw but a Sak is a must have. I gift 2 or 3 Victorinox knives to friends or family every year, then follow that up with a entry level single blade knife the next year. Ease em into the sickness...
