25" Gelbu Special

Looks great:)
You just can't beat real steel. Brass has its place and white metal is passable, but there is nothing like the feel of real steel fittings:) You guys are lucky. The GS keeps slipping through my fingers. One day.

Nice knife (sword). What does it weigh?
I thought that I had enough kukhuris, but now I wonder.
Are the fittings steel or white metal?

Yes that is the Foxy Folly Fighter.
The fittings are steel, I think.
Weight I guess at 2 pounds. Not that heavy really. Compared to the FFF it is, but the FFF is a weightless razor!
When I get all that red rouge off the handle I will try to take some better pics.

I am going to try and take this one to a bamboo thicket and do some video, but I dont know how to post that. Can someone help ?

The way I do it (usually) is to film with a DV camcorder, then import it with Windows Movie Maker at 340 kps; it gets imported as a WMV file. If you're careful and you import the video manually there's no need to process the video any further. If I need something smaller I'll crunch it down in Movie Maker and/or use a more efficient codec but I try to stay away from this, as some of the better codecs are fairly esoteric and I really hate it when I've got to download some Spyware-riddled oddball codec to watch someone else's movie.

Doing it with my digicam is a PITA. It captures poor videos in Quicktime, necessitating some wailing and gnashing of teeth to result in a WMV approaching even reasonable quality.

A video of a ninja cutting down bamboo with a bad@ssed piece of handforged steel? Sign me up. :)

a ninja in 101 dalmations pajamas, no less...
I bet that FFF would do very well with large bamboo as well...

Looks a lot like my 25" Chitlangi, which is 37 oz., but of course has the Gelbu blade that doesn't have quite so much curve to it. I like the handle very much. Good pics as well. Thanks for sharing!
