I like seeing knives being made "at home"! Great design, very usefull. What are those longitudinal lines on the blade?

What are those longitudinal lines on the blade?

They remind me of Jerry Busse's corrugated bevel technology. As I understand it, the objective is to reduce drag. With those blade thicknesses, they should be wicked slicers!

@ LG&M, bld522, and awestib : thanks glad you guys like the knives. The lines are part of our signature look, they are created by CNC milling ( we mill the knives using a CNC mill and then hand finish them). A lot of people ask us whether they reduce friction; in our testing we haven't seen any significant reduction in friction.

We like the idea of a knife that will actually cut through things with relative ease. It seems the trend lately has been towards thicker and thicker knives.

@kyle_4: as of right now we don't offer the Coho in orange. we do however have some coho prototypes in orange (the difference between those and the final design is they have finger grooves similar to those on the osprey) the blade design is the same forward of the handle.

I just picked up an Osprey (5.5 inch model). This knife is impressive as the steel is good, design is good, sheath is good, and fit and finish are good.
The knife is probably the sharpest I ever received as a new knife.

I can see using this knife as a hunting knife, fishing knife or backpacking/ camping knife. Definitely recommended.

Cheers!
