I just wanted to give you guys first shot, just in case. Now this piece is being put up at auction on ebay
Big block of nice Walnut burl.
I figured someone could get a bunch of nice handle blocks out of this piece. As usual, it will look better in person than it does in my photos.
The first 4 photos show the inside of the burl, the next 4 photos show the outside which is a bit lighter in color. There are some surface checks on the outside as well as some bark pockets and open eyes. I took close up photos so you can see exactly what you have to work with. There will be a bit of waste but nowhere near as much as is usual with walnut burl.
Price is $250 to include US shipping.
Dimensions - 24" long x 9" wide x 2&1/4" thick
