25th Annie 112. Anybody know?

I'm one! I'm one! I love the odd/rare Bucks..I just collect 112's and when I first got in to the hobby I figured that a display that had the odd stuff would be more interesting to other collectors and more fun to chase. You have to have a theme and I went to odd.Buck has made so many LE's,build outs, award, advertising, ect knives over the years that you have a lot of "Odd" knives to pick from. There is always something new come up on e;bay or out of private collections..Sometimes you will get only one shot at adding a knife to your collection on truly one of a kind items. One I missed was a 112 that had 'Grandpaw' engraved in the wood in Buck factory block letters with gold paint.I KNOW that had to be a employee who made it special for his grandfather,I'll never see another.I love that kind of Buck!

I had never even heard of a brass framed 25th ann. 112 until BG pointed me to this thread. Catalog #8080 was a run of only 2000 done in 1991 according to the computer archives. The standard 25th was in the catalog for years so there were quite a few more of them.
The sheath on that 8080 is very unique. I believe that is what we called a heat stamp on the sheath flap. Very cool!

Thanks, Joe......I think I got a good deal on a fairly uncommon FG 112.

Happy dance.

:D

Nice. I would think that's not one we'd see very often.

Are the bolsters nickel-silver?

ARG! I'm really glad to see the rare 112's...You can learn so much from the forum!I bet someone will come up with a even more rare variation!
