After a lot of hand-wringing and sleepless nights, I've decided to take a chance in life and invest my time and energy into building a photography business. To do that I need to invest in additional (photography) equipment, and for that I need to liquidate some of my belongings. If I could fund the purchases without selling any of my prized possessions, I certainly would - but I can't

Prices listed include shipping (CONUS) costs. Items will ship via USPS Priority and will include insurance. I will email the tracking number upon shipment and all items will ship within 48 hours of payment received (excepting weekends). I am willing to sell to those who live outside the lower 48 - but additional shipping costs will be your responsibility. I will ship signature required as a means of protecting both of us.

I accept paypal,USPS Money Orders and personal checks (item will be held until check clears). Please contact me via email - click my user name to contact me - as I check it frequently. I will email you my paypal address. Please include your mailing address, your forum user name and the item wanted.

Please post "I'll take it" in this thread. The first person to claim an item is the winner (in the event that several people want the same item).

Please be of legal age and make sure the item is legal in your place of residence. I cannot be responsible if that is not the case.

I represent the items as best as I can - most are unused and in the exact same condition as they were when I bought them (new). Some have seen slight use, but do not see regular use. Each item's condition will be stated below.

Buy with confidence- I offer a 3 day option of returning the item (you pay return shipping) for a full refund (including my shipping costs). This means you have 3 full days, from the time delivered, to decide if the item is as I described. If not - send me an email notifying me that you'd like to return the item, pack it securely (with insurance) and mail it back to me (in the same condition it was when received). Once I receive theitem, I will send the purchase price (of that item) back to you.

The only trades I'd consider would be trades for Pentax lenses - and that would be specific lenses only.

I believe my prices are fair: they include shipping, paypal fees, and are lower than the price I paid. But I'll sweeten the deal a bit:

One of the knives offered for sale (in the two threads of knives I'll offer) will be given to one of the people who have purchased a knife (in either thread). I do not know which knife that will be - as it will be the last unsold knife. For each knife you purchase, I will add your name to a hat and when there is only one knife remaining unsold, I will pick a name out of that hat and send the unsold knife to the winner.

Lon Humphrey

Da Brute (X2) - $150.00 each Now $140.00 each

http://lonhumphreyknives.com

1/4" at the spine. I think the steel used is 1084, but I'm not positive. The handles are Curly Maple. Black liners on both. Mosaic pins on one, stainless pins on the other.

I really cannot recall if I've used either of these knives or not. They certainly don't look as though they've seen any use, but if I did use them it was only for a few minutes (to test the sharpness). Both knives have some heft to them and feel great in hand. Lon does terrific work and these two are fine examples of his skill. They're beautiful works of art in my opinion.

They come with the leather sheaths that were provided when I bought the knives from Lon. The sheaths are Bark River sheaths and while adequate, aren't exact fits for the knives. I find the sheaths to be a little bit tight, but that could be considered a good thing I suppose. I had always planned on having custom sheaths made for these two beauties, but never got around to doing so.

D. Farmer SOLD to jnphares

$85.00

I don't know the model name of this knife.

1/8th" at the spine. I don't know what type of steel is used. Wood handles, but I don't know what type of wood is used. Comes with aleather sheath.

I am not the original owner of this knife. Consider the knife used, although it is in fantastic shape.

GL Drew SOLD to KYenglish

Bush knife - $90.00

3/16th" 5160 steel. I think the handles are Cocobolo, but not positive.

I am not the original owner, so consider this knife as used. There are a few scuff marks on the blade, but no other signs of possible use. I have not used this knife - it is exactly as I bought it. It comes with a very nice leather sheath.

This knife feels great in hand - a bit of heft, but that just adds to the nice feeling when holding it. I think this would make a terrific skinning knife.

Wood Drake - $160.00 Now $150.00

1/8th" 1080 steel. Black/Green G10 with Maple inlay and black liners.

Multi carry leather sheath.

This is a gorgeous knife. It feels oh-so-wonderful in hand and balances wonderfully.

Unfortunately it arrived with a toothier edge than I like, so I sharpened it with my Work Sharp sharpener. That was a mistake (on my part) - as I ended up with marks on the blade. The marks might buff out - I don't know, since I didn't try - but they don't affect the blade (other than looks). Take a careful look at the pictures - as the scuff marks do show up in them.

Other than the scuff marks, the knife is in brand new condition. I haven't used the knife at all - but the blade does have scuff marks from my sharpening efforts. BTW - it is sharp now.

Koyote

Wharncliff Necker - $160.00 Sold to Blaid

Approximately 1/8th" steel (not sure of the type). Ipe handles. Comes with a great leather sheath and set up for neck carry.

This knife is unused.

There isn't a knife here that I want to sell, but this one is one of the knives that I really, really don't want to get rid of. I just love the way it looks, the way it handles, the way it feels in my hand. I won't be sad if this one does not sell.

Leuku - $190.00 SOLD to to D86PQ

1/8th" 1084 steel. Bog Oak handles with carbon steel pins (so the bluing will match).

This knife is unused.

This is a stunning knife - from the ancient Bog Oak handles to the craftsmanship overall, this knife is absolutely stunning. It comes with a great leather sheath suitable for multiple carrying options. If I didn't need the money, this one wouldn't be going anywhere.

Hargis

Down under Bushie - $90.00 Now $85.00 SOLD to eowyn873

1/8th" steel. I believe it is 1095. Natural canvas handles with small black liners. Leather lanyard with Antler stop. Comes with a nice leather sheath.

This knife is unused.

This one feels great in the hand and would make for a great "Bush" knife.

Wohlwend

Drop point spear - $115.00 SOLD to Darbyfett

3/16th" steel (1095 - I think). Bloodwood handles. This knife has seen some use. There are scuff marks on the blade (from the Kydex sheath). I do not know if the scuff marks will buff out - I haven't tried to remove them. This knife handles really well; it has a bit of heft to it, but the balance is spot on.

Bushcrafter - $140.00 SOLD to utah_fish

1/8th" steel (1095 - I think). Cocobolo handles with black liners

This knife is unused.

The handles are beefy and fill the hand nicely. It comes with a very nice leather sheath (the knife sits deep in the sheath).

Nessie - $140.00

1/8th" steel (1095 - I think), Bloodwood handles with black liners.

This knife is unused.

This is a gorgeous knife. The handles fill your hand nicely and have a warmth that only wood gives. It comes with a leather sheath (the knife sits deep in the sheath).

Luke Smith SOLD to B JACKSON

Small Hunter - $45.00

1/8th"polished 1095 steel. Lacewood handles with red liners.

I am not the original owner of this knife. Consider the knife to be used.

The blade has a few very light scuff marks on it, but no nicks or dings. I doubt this knife was used much (I haven't used it at all) but prefer to list it as used.

The handles are nice but the red liner sits a bit proud in places. I'm not sure if that was always the case or if that is a somewhat recent development. Either way, it doesn't affect the functionality of the knife and could easily be remedied if desired. It is a small, quick knife and would make a great edc knife. Comes with a leather sheath.

JK Handmade Knives

http://jkhandmadeknives.com/

Camp & Trail - $125.00
SOLD to kmj153

1/8th" 01 steel. Natural Canvas Micarta with stainless pins.

This knife has seen use.

There are a few scuff marks on the blade. They would likely buff out if desired, but I never cared about such things. This knife handles very well: it fills the hand nicely and has a great balance. It would make the perfect all around do anything you need it to do knife. It comes with a leather sheath.

Camp & Trail HD - $135.00 SOLD to kmj153

1/4th" 01 steel. Yellow G10 handles with black liner.

Another knife that I very nearly decided to keep. I really like the "feel" of this one: it handles great and just feels right in my hand.

This knife has seen slight use. I also sharpened this knife. There are a couple of scuff marks on the blade. They would likely buff out if you are so inclined (I'm not - as I think such marks add character). It comes with a leather sheath.

Kentucky Woodsman - $140.00 Now $135.00 SOLD to elkpro1

1/8th" 01 steel. Ebony handles. Stainless pins

This knife is unused.

The blade does show some marks (easily seen in the pictures) from a cleaning where I obviously did not dry the blade completely. These spots should be easy to remove (in fact I'll clean the blade prior to shipping it - but wanted to explain the spots that are seen in the pictures). There are some scuff marks on the blade as well.

The Ebony handles are just slightly recessed from the metal handle. It isn't enough to cause discomfort in use, but it is something that you should be aware of.

The knife is perfectly functional, with no problems other than the two mentioned above. It comes with a leather sheath.

Scandi - $100.00

1/8th" 01 steel. I think the handles are Maple Burl, but I am not positive about that.

This knife has seen (very) slight use in carving wood. For this task it is perfect - it is nimble, easy to control, and it bites deep when required.

I didn't notice any scuff marks on the blade, but I would assume that there are a few. It comes with a leather sheath.

Roach Belly - $145.00 Now $140.00

1/8th" 01 steel. Torched Oak handles. Brass pins

This knife is unused.

There are some scuff marks on the blade. I sharpened it with the Work Sharp and the plastic guides tend to scuff up the blade. The scuff marks should buff out, but I haven't made the attempt.

There is something primal about this knife - it just feels like you're back in the frontier days when holding this one. It's got a great balance to it, with enough belly to justify everyday kitchen use.

Combat - $150.00 Now $140.00

1/4" 01 steel. Bloodwood & Black Micarta handles. Stainless pins.

This knife is unused.

It is a somewhat hefty knife and provides one with the feeling that you could tackle hell itself with this knife in your hand. The handle is very comfortable and does of fine job of providing the warmth of wood with the grip of micarta. It comes with a leather sheath.

Riverwoods Companion - $145.00 SOLD to sjordan

1/16th" 01 steel. Maple Burl handles, stainless pins.

This knife is unused.

This is another example of a real struggle in deciding to sell it or not. I really like this knife - it just handles so well and feels great in the hand. I think its beauty is the reason why I haven't used it.

The thin blade will make this an excellent slicer. This knife would excel in the kitchen, as a neck knife, or as your everyday carry knife. It is superb. Comes with a leather sheath.

Custom - $150.00 SOLD to jnphares

1/8th" 01 steel. Snakewood handles with black liners and brass pins. Custom sheath (Rick Garcia).

This knife is unused.

This is a design of my own - not a model John normally makes (so there is no model name). This is a tall blade, as I had figured on using it in the kitchen, for finger clearance when chopping/slicing and use as a makeshift tool for transferring items from the cutting board to the pot/pan.

I had Rick Garcia make a custom sheath for it. The sheath is a true work of art - beautiful and extremely functional all at the same time.

The Snakewood handles are gorgeous and have a slight curve to them. It just feels fantastic in hand and is very pleasing to my eye. I really love this knife, but simply cannot bring myself to use it.

RUSK - $145.00 Now $140.00

3/16th" 01 steel. Ebony handles with red liners

This knife is unused.

It has some heft to it and is balanced very well. This would be my choice of knives if I needed a rugged tool to puncture things. I think this knife would also make a very fine slicer - thanks to the curve of the blade. It comes with a leather sheath.

Hudson Bay - $180.00 SOLD to cbach8tw

3/16th" 01 steel. Walnut handles. Brass pins. Copper rivets on sheath.

This is a big boy - perfect for chopping through bones or saplings and small trees. If you like to baton wood - this is your knife.

This knife is unused, but I did sharpen it. It slices paper with ease now, but the convex edge still retains enough strength to handle rough tasks with ease. Comes with a leather sheath.

Trapline - $145.00 SOLD to KYenglish

1/8th" 01 steel. Ironwood handles, brass pins.

This knife is unused.

If I didn't have another one (of this model) this one would not be for sale. This is one of my favorite models - it just works and works and works. This is the perfect woods knife - it carves wood with the best of them, yet it is well suited for a wide variety of tasks.

This knife feels fantastic in hand; it handles extremely well and is balanced perfectly. It is just the right size (in my opinion). Not too small and not too big; it is a "do-all" knife if ever there was one.

Viktim - $145.00 SOLD to w.t. anderson

1/8th" 01 steel. Walnut handles, brass pins.

This knife is unused.

I used Linseed Oil to protect the handles and got some on the blade. That oil is dried (it shows up in the pictures) but should come off easily.

The blade is stamped #1 - it is the first knife in a series of 10 that John made.

The model name comes from an example that John made for a pass around. That knife was subjected to unbelievable torture - and it not only survived, it thrived. This is a tough, everyday rough use knife that will take all you can give it and ask for more.

The handle is hand-filling and probably one of the most comfortable knives I've ever held. It just feels so right.

The only reason I'm selling this one is because it hasn't seen use. If I had used it, I would've chosen something else to sell in its place. Comes with a leather sheath.

Galley Wag - $150.00

1/16th" 01 steel. Ebony handles with brass pins.

This knife is unused.

This one was on and off the sell list multiple times. If knives can legitimately be described as "sexy" this one is. It just looks, and feels, fantastic. I think this one would be perfect in the kitchen or in the camp.

It made the sell list only because I really need the photo gear, and it hasn't seen any use at all. Comes with a leather sheath.

Hanna'a hope - $145.00
SOLD to elkpro1

1/8th" 01 steel. Orange Micarta handles with stainless pins. Marked H1 for the first in a series of knives dedicated to John's granddaughter.

This knife is unused.

It is a recent purchase and it made the sell list because it hasn't seen use.

I think this one would make an excellent edc - it's small enough to be unobtrusive, yet large enough to get almost any job done. Comes with a leather sheath.

Thank you for looking.
