Hi all,

My 26 is scheduled for 11/03 and I was wondering if the 25 handle with brass butt cap has the exposed nut or is it flush?

Thanks,

I just got one through AG Russell, not directly from Randall, and it came with the flush brass butt. You're gonna love it!:D Here's a pic of mine to maybe tide you over till November.
My big dilemma is if I'll actually be able to use it on a deer this fall. It's just too darn pretty! Will

Ours recently came through Sullivan's, and looks like Will's.

Agreed, you're gonna like it for sure, and yes, it's 'almost' too damn pretty to use!

THANKS willhunt and Melvin-Purvis!

I have been waiting since 1/01. I ordered mine just like your picture but added the wrist thong hole, thumb notches and had my 1'st and middle initial and last name etched on it. I to am wondering if I am going to use it or not, but probably will.

(I also have a #3-5" with stag handle on order and is scheduled for 4/04.)

I live near the Andy Thornall store and bought a #3 there for my dad for Christmas '02 and actually held one of their aniversary models and almost bought it a few years back. I was reading on this forum and found that they are worth quite a bit and wish I would have bought it now.

Thanks again,

My experience is that the leather handled knives come with an exposed nut. The others do not unless you order them as such. I like an exposed nut and have specified them in the past on micarta handles. I just like the looks. The exposed nut on a leather handle is necessary should the handle ever loosen (I've had a bunch of leather handles, none of them has ever loosened!)
