26th Annual - Knives 2006

I own every Knives annual. I even wrote an article or two in the past for them.

I think the old ones were better in the regard that the industry as a whole was far more intriguing 25 years ago with more unknowns and lots of new, interesting opportunities. The knives annual was there for the forming of the ABS, the Rambo craze, the Randall craze, the one hand knife craze, the Loveless craze, etc. etc. and most importantly helped fuel the handmade knife craze better than any other media outlet.

Pre-internet, books like this were MUCH more interesting than they are today.
The internet simply cannot be beat for viewing knives.

I think the articles have suffered a bit and Ken's captions are certainly the benchmark for knife-whimsy but I do like some of the upgrades with the paper and pics. I think its also important to note that this isn't Joe's only job and he has lots of other responsibilities at Krause from what I understand.
