275bk Adamas

I just snagged a lightly used one for $125. I don't think I can go wrong. Should have it in my hands Wednesday.

Have several.

Regular and auto.

Fills the hand and tough as nails.

Always like knives that can serve general cutting chores but can survive heavy chores as well.

Have never regretted the purchase.

My used Adamas showed up today. Slightly disappointed because it was advertised as "used a little." Pictures didn show all the pocket wear on the scales. Looks like they are coated with something. It is also extremely dull. Action still feels good. Once I get an edge on it, it will be a goo user

I bought one after watching a review on it - I don't normally favor tacti'cool' items. That being said, it's one of my favorite folders, a little big and heavy for EDC at the office, but definitely my weekend knife or when I'm just tooling about in shorts.

I have large hands (XL Mechanic gloves) and the knife fits me perfectly. I find it incredibly comfortable to use when whittling sticks, and performing general camping activities. After having it for a while, I find the blade shape to be just perfect - hands down my favorite knife.

Thanks, all. I still haven't pulled the trigger on a 275 yet, but I would like to eventually. Bought a 10/22 recently, so all my focus has been on that little guy. :D

Depleted your funds, eh?:D

Not exactly, lol. I need to get 6 of those 25 round magazines, fiber optic sights, a few thousand more rounds of ammo, modded bolt-release, etc. I really want a suppressor for it, and a handgun now, too. I have a handful of knives already. :D

that video is what made me buy the adamas, its a great knife and carries slimmer and lower in pocket for me than most of my other knives but it is heavy but trade offs as they say

I really like mine I received yesterday, thanks Loonybin. I was thinking about trying to get some custom scales with no holes in them. Has that ever been done before? I'd imagine the holes are there to reduce weight. So maybe its a bad idea.

I would be interested to see what someone could come up with for scales

I have been sharpening my 275 on a Smith's Edge Sport with the 320 grit diamond at 20* per side. Am I screwing this thing up? I can do 25 degrees per side, but that seems like an awful thick edge

second time Ive posted this near legendary video of the benchmark that is the Adamas today. Worth watching all the way

My brother has a 275 and after watching this video I'm wanting to trade him for it. Seems like a great knife just a little big for edc but definitely worth it if you're going to use it for hard use

Glad you're enjoying it! The only reason I let it go is because my wife finally said that I can borrow hers if I need one (yes, my 5'1" wife has an Adamas -- her choice of knives). Ask Keyman about making some without holes. I bet he can come up with something.

25º per side is thick. The D2 can easily handle 20º per side, and even 15º per side depending on your intended use. Keep in mind that it will take quite a while to get there because the blade is so thick.
