279 inverted T

I recieved a Buck as a gift. On the blade is 279(T) WITH THE T being upside down. What can you tell me about this knife. It also has BUCK U.S.A. on the blade. I looked on web and found 279models but not with the T.

The upside down T means it was made in 2004.

That knife and year was my daughters first Alpha Hunter . She still uses it today . Hope you like it . DM
