This is a knife I forged from 288 layers of damascus. I made the damascus from 1095 and 15n20. It started as 24 layers, I cut it in thirds, restacked and forged it out. Then in 4 sections restacked and forged it out for a total of 288 (if my math is correct). The blade is a great size for hunting and skinning. It has been polished to 1000 grit and deeply etched to bring out the pattern.
The handle is desert ironwood and is sculpted and shaped to fit the hand well. It is held in place with pins and G-flex epoxy.
The sheath is 7-8oz leather from Wickett and Craig. It is made specifically for this knife and the knife draws nicely yet is held securely.
Dimensions
Blade - 3 3/4" tip to handle
OAL - 8"
Price - $245 shipped to US. I prefer paypal, but will accept check or money order
I have this posted in other places so the first timestamp gets it.
