OK, you asked for it, you got it. I know I'm well over 2,000 posts, but here's the deal:

A brand new Beretta Loveless drop-point hunter, in quince (MSRP $175), yours for the taking. But there's a catch.

You must be a current member in good standing of the NRA.

Now, I'm not saying you have to buy your membership through me to qualify, because that would really be kinda bogus. But if you aren't a member and have wanted to join, I really can give you a nice discount. PM me for more details.

If you're already a member, you're in! Just give me the last four digits of your membership number. (Yes, I'm afraid I will verify the winning contestant's membership.)The winner will be determined in a random draw on January 31.

Yeah, this is all about the NRA. I'll make a few bucks off of the handful of memberships I sell, but there's no way it'll cover the cost of the knife. Just my way of giving something back to the folks at BladeForums, and if I happen to get a few people to join the NRA in the process, so much the better.

I know I promised photos this morning. I'm too hungover. Sorry. (You didn't really think I'd give away a $175 knife while I was sober, did you?)

I don't have the quince version. It would be a great extravagance for me to have one. If I win it I promise to use it on next year's deer.

This is the first contest that I can honestly say I don't care if I win the knife. Don't get me wrong, I'd love it, it is a beautiful knife. I just see this as a win all the way around no matter who wins.
