Well, I just realized that I have hit 2000 posts and although, the vast majority of them were meaningless, a GAW is in order. So, if you are a regular contributor to the porch, just post "I'm in". Might as well post a pic of a traditional knife just to keep things in the spirit of the subforum (not a requirement). I will let this run until it naturally winds down, then I will select the member via random number generator. One entry per member please.

The prize is yet to be determined but it will be a knife and old or maybe not a knife and new, or a combination of both......who knows. :)

I really appreciate the spirit of the porch and it is unlike any subforum at BFC or any other online community for that matter. I consider all of you friends and I hope that all of you and your families have a very, merry Christmas.

Blessings - Daniel

Edited to add: The mystery was not intentional since I literally started the thread as soon as I realized my post count, but the intrigue seems to make things more interesting so let's run with it. I now have a particular prize in mind (or two:)) and I have decided to let this run until closer to Christmas. There will be two winners selected. Regards!

And the winners are.....

Macchina

and.....

Since Macchina was selected first, he gets to pick either box "A" or "B". Major will receive the other. Both boxes include a knife. One is old and the other not as much. Each knife will be accompanied by some other goodies as well.

Emails incoming to the winners and congratulations! Thanks to everyone who participated and Merry Christmas!

Daniel, of your posts that I've read that weren't completely meaningless ;), I discovered one of the porch's knowledgeable good guys and one of the posters that keeps me coming back. Congratulations on your mile stone and thanks for the surprise GAW.
I love surprises so I'm in and Merry Christmas! -James

There is a soon to be produced snakewood GEC 74 reserved for me and I'm hoping to receive it by Christmas.
I'll post this one because it is the 74 that started my appreciation for them.

I am also enticed, especially since I don't own a single knife older than I am (42) so I am hoping it will be an old one. ;) Congrats on your 2000 posts! Count me in.

Here is my oldest traditional (sad I know).

I am in, thanks!
Here is a picture of today's carry, a Joseph Rodgers pearl Whittler:thumbup:

Congrats on the milestone. I'm in. And in the spirit of the porch, here's a couple of the forum blades. Mine and my son's.

I'd love to see what you come up with Daniel. I thought I'd post photos of my first two GECs.

Thanks for the generosity--I'm in, good luck to all. There were my most recent traditional purchases; always fun to pay the porch a visit.
