Marty & Aggie of the Wilderness Learning Center are hosting their Second Annual WILDERNESS ADVENTURERS RENDEZVOUS (WAR) September 1-3, 2007

This is a free family-friendly event, open to anyone who enjoys wilderness adventures as much as we do. A variety of demonstrations and seminars, as well as a swap meet, have been scheduled to highlight the theme of this event: Safety in the Outdoors. In addition we will be holding several contests and a raffle. Well have a great campfire every night for your enjoyment. Sunday night we will feature a POT LUCK dinner for all. Last year was a fantastic event with this year looking even bigger and better. Following is a tentative schedule:
Friday, August 31st Early bird arrival 1PM on, Folks may arrive early and set up a day early.
Saturday September 1st Arrival and Settling In. Approximately 11AM will be the Opening Ceremony and Introductions. Some late afternoon seminars and contests are planned.
Sunday, September 2nd Demonstrations, contests and seminars throughout the day. The raffles will be held after the pot luck dinner.
Monday, September 3rd Closing Ceremonies and goodbyes.
This year we've added the Redneck Toilet Paper Throwing Contest.
General Information. This is a free event sponsored by the Wilderness Learning Center. You can camp on the school grounds (tents, tarps, pop-ups, or RVs); but there are no hookups or electricity. Youre responsible for all your beverages meals & trash. Anything you bring in, you bring out. Outhouses are provided for your convenience; although there is no wash point or shower. Light drinking is permitted in the evening. Friendly dogs are allowed, but you are responsible for your pets as well as your children.
If youre attending please notify us by than August 15th, 2007. We must establish a head count.
