Ok this is the 2nd knife ive ever made, and here are the details.
I started with a 4 foot peace of 1084 from NJ steel Baron
The blade is about 5 1\2 and the handle is 4 1\2, blade is 2 inches wide
Walnut scales finished with low gloss tung oil.
I started with the idea of making a mini condor hudson bay, because i love that style of knife.
Grind is in between a flat and convex (its the first time ive ever used a belt sander for knife making) my 1st knife i made with only files
i heat treated the blade in my charcoal grill, with a hair dryer as a blower, it worked great untill it over heated and stopped working so it was a now or never and quenched it, (i quickly tested it with a magnet and could not feel it pulling at all so i think im good) I know what your thinking, not the most accurate way of heating a blade, but i digress lol.
I tempered it in the oven for 2 hours at 425,
The thing i need the most work on is putting the final edge on it with the belt sander, i made a huge relief and it looks pretty bad, but ill get better with time, again i never used a belt sander before this project.
But I finished it on my stone, and now its pretty dang sharp, and have been testing a little bit, and im going camping this weekend where i hope to give it a work out.

you posted a link to a removable drive on your PC, you need to upload the pictures to a photobucket account or a similar photo hosting site and then use the image link

yep that link is working fine, cool that we get to see the entire album and the knife start to finish, the tip could be a little more pointy and the blade a shade more narrow, and sanding from tip to handle might help in the esthetics department , not to bad ;0)

Kinda looks like a becker of some sorts, maybe a bk17. That is better than my first knife, then again I had no idea what i was supposed to do at the time. Good job

I though about adding a swegde at the tip, ended up leaving it, and bay sanding from tip to edge do you mean a distal taper, thanks alot for the feed back

Nope not a distal taper, instead of the sanding marks going from sharp edge to spine, They go from tip to handle, horizontal instead of vertical would be another way to put it
