For sale is an original USN Mark 2 combat knife (USMC Fighting/Utility Knife) with its original leather sheath. This version of the knife, designated MIL-K-20277c, was produced from 1968-1970 by the Conetta Manufacturing Co. of Stamford, Connecticut and is featured in the article by Frank Trzaska entitled “The Post War Combat Mark 2” at pp. 22-29 of the January 2005 issue of Knife World.

The knife measures approximately 12 inches in overall length with a 7-inch clip point blade with a parkerized finish, a fuller on each side and light jimping on the spine (see photos). The ricasso is marked “U.S. / Conetta” on one side and the original owner added his initials and eight-digit service number on the handle and blade respectively (see photos).

The knife is in excellent original condition: the handle, guard and pommel are all tight, the blade shows light wear to the finish and appears to have its original factory edge (see photos). The sheath is in very good to excellent original condition with some signs of use and carry (see photos). Although the exact number of these knives produced by Conetta is unknown, they have become comparatively scarce, particularly in this condition.

Asking price is $235 $175 $165, reasonable offers are welcome, no trades, thanks. Price includes insured shipping via USPS Ground Advantage anywhere in the continental US.

Payment may be made via Zelle, CashApp, USPS money order or personal check as long as you're willing to wait for the check to clear before the item ships. Sorry, I no longer use Pay Pal.

First “I’ll take it” posted here has priority, please DM me with any questions or offers, thanks.
