2nd Rat Pack knife

Ok.

Im gonna go ahead and speak my mind a bit. Usually gets me in trouble, but I lack that filter normal people have before things come out.

I see no problem with people who need to cancell. Thats the kind of thing that happens when runs of stuff are done. People tend to be a bit embarassed when they have to cancell things. I find it chicken shit to call them out on it. Its no ones fu%$*ng business why they needed to back out. Its between RAT and the member. Nobody else.

As far as the cancelled blades or extras go....A bit greedy to think that some guys who were around when this project came up deserve a shot at multiple knives. I was on a bit of a personal sebatacle when this whole thing came to be. Id love one of the extras, but in no way shape or form feel owed anything. If it comes up, Ill jump. If not or I miss out, oh well, not meant to be. It will not sway my opinion of the RAT guys, and keep me from contributing to this forum.

Frankly it doesn't matter what anyone THINKS we should do w/ the leftover knives. We'll do what WE want to do with the leftover knives. No need to speculate (AGAIN). An announcement will be made when a decision is made as to when, how and to whom they are sold.

 Nice attitude.

I know that you are working hard on this project, and with life we tend to get stressed a bit, but thats no way to be. These knives are about the RAT pack, so RAT pack members have every right to speculate....... To say that youll do what you want with em kinda leaves a sour taste. RAT has always been a company that values the opinions of its customers and fans. Its what seperates them from the pack, and puts them in another league. Or has something changed im unaware of???????

Jeff- Great attitude man. You truely are a "regular guy".....Its nice that some people in this country still care about the pocketbooks of average citizens. Rare these days.

So... flame me, I dont really care. I just think there has been alot of negative attitudes round here lately. Thats not how it should be..Were all on the same team.

Oh, and to all the guys losing jobs and getting laid off, I am truely sorry, and I wish you all the best of luck in finding work. Hang in there.

I see no reason for anyone to be flamed for speaking their mind. Lots of people have lots of problems nowadays and whatever it take for someone to get through their situation, we're all behind that.

 Right as rain Jeff. I am lucky to work in public service and have job security. I never forget that every day I clock in and am on duty.

PS- I just finished the surefire knife article in TK.... That had to be a really cool experiance covering something like that.

I also lost my job just before the ordering time. I had to sell off some nives to get the money together. Still out of work and my knife collection is getting smaller :o

In anycase, looking forward to getting my RP knife:)

No job and the knife collection is getting smaller!!!

Oh man, bummer..... Hang in there brother.

At the end of the day, I am here to learn, grow and develope friends and information, no one should be shut down or shut up for their views or questions, the same could be said for someone for what ever reason that cannot complete a verbal contract, I am very thankful that I found rat cutlery and this forum, this group of people is very diverse. which is a good thing, for me it's more than knives, goods or money, it's about people, life and when I see hardship it really makes me think about how easy it could be me and my family in those shoes, I would just like to extend a thankyou to all the folks here that make it possible for me to share in such a great place to be!

If someone had to cancel their order, then that's what they had to do. It was obviously what was best for them. This wasn't about the "need" to cancel an order. It was about placing an order and then disappearing. If indeed someone had to cancel an order due to extenuating circumstance as I mentioned initially, I think we all could donate a few dollars via Paypal in order to help them get their knife. Lastly, j. will, who are you to chastise the attitude of the very person who has been working the hardest on the project? You have a sour taste in your mouth? Drink salt water.

A paying member w/ over 8000 posts, and a regular contributer to the RAT forum, and many other forums, and a person who works with people every single day, and has had people under him in the military, and lastly a man who is entitled to his views.

Oh, and BTW, Wasnt trying to be a prick to her.....Anyone who "knows" me knows Im not intentionally mean or confrontational. Im a professional.

Eh, I think you're jumping to conclusions about why people didn't follow through with orders. It's best if you just stop. It's not that important and it's really no ones business. In my eyes it's extremely nosey and rude, give it a rest already...

.

Well Said AND THANK YOU !

Ya, guess you are right. I'm wrong. I guess it was ALSO awful of me to ask others including myself to make donations to help others get their knife. Some people have no concept of compassionate service. I'm done.

Sounds like we all need to chill out a bit.

J, no hard feelings brother.

The reason the Mrs said what she said is because, especially with this Pack knife, speculation has been a dangerous thing.

People read things on here and the first thing they forget is who posted it.

So randomuser01 says this that or the other thing about whatever and a few days later Jeff, myself, Tony or my wife are getting nasty e-mails claiming that WE said something we didn't.

Were just trying to cull the rumor mill a bit. Sorry if it comes off like attitude.

Frankly, seems to me that nerves are a bit frayed around here lately. I can't wait until this whole pack knife thing is behind us and we can peice this forum back together, hopefully stronger than before.

We'll I'm sitting back and drinking a 5 year old bottle of merlot that I bottled myself. I'm as mellow as a marshmallow ;)

Kgd I keep mellow much the same way. I think everyone should. I'd love to bottle wine, but I really can't stand to wait that long. I'd need a timelock.

Hey brother, no hard feelins here either, I know there has to be "behind the scenes" shit that goes on..... I never meant to come across as mean, and I hope you know that. I love all you guys. :D

Too much BS lately. People shold sit back and tip a few. This is just a good ol place to learn and come together in a common interest....
I hear what youre sayin man.... No disrespect meant.
