2x72 grinder tension

How much tension in pounds should I have on a 2x72 grinder? The springs will go in the vertical post holding the top wheel.

I set mine to where there is no visable ripple of the belt when grinding. It doesnt take much tension.

When I was building mine I called on 3M and the tech said 30-40 lbs was about right...mine was at 32 lbs. and it works great....some times I forget and leave a belt in tension and it hasn't pulled one apart yet.

mine uses a 20lb gas spring and it works great
